New York City is best known all over the world because of the empire state building. The building is the tallest in New York City and was completed at the height of the great depression in 1931. Immediately after completion, it remained without occupants for almost a year before visitors started streaming into see its magnificence. There is an observatory deck just near the top of the building. It offers visitors a pleasant view of the whole of New York City and tells them of how far the most powerful city on earth has come to attain its present status.

The statue of liberty can be accessed by climbing or through a tour on a boat. It all depends on the preferences of the visitor. For those who are on a family holiday, it may be difficult to choose between the two options. The struggles of the American people have been immortalized through the statue of liberty. This means that the statue is an attraction site to Americans and not foreigners. Domestic tourism therefore flourishes in much the same way as foreign tourism. People from different states come here to see what their country really looks like from a historical perspective. At the end of the holiday tour, you can be sure to have understood democracy in new light. Here there are too many symbols that tell the holiday maker what challenges the country has gone through and the challenges that lie ahead.

The Ellis city immigration museum is a perfect place to educate your children about the heritage of America and hoe it has influenced other countries on the continent and throughout the world. The day remains full of fun and one trip to the city is never enough. As you climb through the numerous buildings to be found here, it becomes clear that New York is like no other place on the planet. Millions of visitors always come to New York with great expectations concerning the services offered here. These expectations are never dulled as the holiday maker travels through roads and subways. One has to admit though that the city has been overwhelmed by the influx of so many foreign and domestic tourists. The existing infrastructure may not be adequate to serve the increasing population after a few years.

Old World Russian restaurants are the other great attraction sites you don’t want to miss on your first and second visit to New York. The sidewalks of these restaurants are magnificent. They have a Russian aura on them, making them a wonderful place to visit. The items on sale are just as attractive. Due to the strong sense of attachment that Russians have with these hotels, tourism relations between America and these countries have increased. Many Russian travel agents are linking many firms back home in Russia in order to facilitate easy travel arrangements to and from these countries. The wonder of these hotels is something that mirrors if not perfects the Russian culture as seen through the eye of the Russian native.
